What is IMPRINT?
Imprint is a cohort-based discipleship program that fosters learning in the context of community through the support of the local church. That means local churches in your city will partner together to provide the highest level of theological education and discipleship for those who want to prepare themselves for a lifetime of ministry.
As far as content is concerned, over the course of nine months, you’ll study under some of the best and brightest seminary professors from around the country. As far as context is concerned, you’ll also learn from pastors, missionaries and leaders who have spent their lives in the trenches of ministry in the urban context.
Forming identity vs. Transferring information
The way education takes place is finally catching up to the ever-changing world we live in. We understand that education is not just about information, but identity formation. There’s no need to uproot you from you current context to train you theologically. As a matter of fact, the best education takes place when (1) you’re firmly planted in your natural context and (2) the stuff you learn is brought to your front door step.
Here is a program that marries sound theological content with your current context. The goal, to transform your identity to impact the people you interact with right now.
A great foundation for everyone
Our first program year was made up of 32 co-ed students from ages 21-57 who’s lifestyles and backgrounds were as diverse as their ages. Both the students and the teachers walked away with a solid foundation to build upon.
A stepping stone for a lifetime of learning
We know that nine months isn’t enough time to prepare someone for a lifetime of ministry. So, our goal is that it would at least be the first step.
For those desiring to go on to seminary after this program, this year we’re pleased to announce that this program will count for up to 18 credit hours through local seminaries.
*The application for the Fall semester in Atlanta will be posted soon.
